About
Hello, I’m Thanos.
I am a DevSecOps Engineer at EUROPEAN DYNAMICS, where I focus on enhancing system security and operations through modern DevSecOps practices.
My journey started in web development, working with Vue.js and Node.js as a Junior Web Developer. However, my curiosity quickly pulled me towards the “under the hood” aspects of technology—servers, networking, and infrastructure. This reliability on Linux systems sparked a transition that defines my career today.
Experience & Philosophy
Currently, I leverage tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Amazon EKS to deploy and maintain robust Linux systems. I don’t just build; I ensure high availability and streamlined service deployment.
- Role: DevSecOps Engineer @ EUROPEAN DYNAMICS (Nov 2022 – Present)
- Background: Transitioned from Web Development (Virtual Solutions) to Systems Engineering.
- Core Focus: Automating the boring stuff, securing the important stuff, and monitoring everything.
Technical Arsenal
I strongly believe in using the right tool for the job. Here is what I work with:
- DevOps & Cloud: Ansible, Puppet, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Docker, Helm, OpenShift.
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, InfluxDB, Sonarqube.
- Development: Python, JavaScript, node.js, Vue.js.
- OS: Red Hat Linux (RHCSA trained).
